With Mini Iso®, our goal is to carve out intentional space that allows student athletes the 1-1 time that creates impact. Mini Iso® gives coach Faheem, or other SBTB® performance psychology coaches, 5-10 min of individualized 1-1 meeting time with student athletes. The desire of any Iso® is to develop the relationship between vulnerability and encouragement. This intentional time together creates an opportunity for players to share any thoughts or concerns, ask any powerful questions, and most importantly establish relationships with SBTB® coaches beyond the classroom. To explore Mini Iso®, fill out and submit the below information in the link below.

Daniel Villegas

Awareness and information has put a spotlight on the mental side of the game for athletes and even top performers in other categories. I strongly believe in the overlap of sport and life, so when I see these kids sharpening their mental toolbox, I see it as a resource in life no matter where they end up!

The captain role within SBTB® serves as a powerful opportunity for each individual student-athlete to take on the purpose and impact of learned leadership. Quite naturally, leadership is a skill that’s developed through practice. We at SBTB® believe that given consistent opportunity, each young athlete can begin to see themselves as powerful leaders within as well as outside of pathway and soccer communities. Our desire for the captain’s role is to assist in the development of young student athletes learning to see themselves as leaders as they engage with the world around them. With the captain role, captains will be selected from amongst the group. Every player will serve as captain once throughout the school year, with the option to be reselected based on their comfort level with the role. The requirements for a captain are to support the in class as well as post class action steps around the collateral, literature, and teaching points for that month.

“Great teams come from great individuals doing great work. As a club, Faheem has an immeasurable impact on our first-team athletes' mental readiness and elite performance. From our very first season to now, Faheem's experience, knowledge, and passion for performance psychology has significantly influenced our program.

One of our core beliefs at SBTB® is the need to keep an open space for transparent honesty and supportive feedback. We at SBTB® believe that those communities that love the best, are often those communities that create the most intentional space for sharing and connecting. With our partnership with Pathway Academy,  we offer 24/7 support, where parents can at any point feel welcome to share anything they are experiencing within the membership regarding their young athlete, as well as leverage this space for conversation or expanded perspective on how we as a community can best support their role as parents.

24/7 parent support.

Grades.

Transparency always leads to performance. One of the ways we ensure athletes can succeed is to make sure each student athlete has an accurate reflection of where they’re currently standing within the curriculum that coach Faheem will be using throughout the Pathway school year. Grades will be uploaded quarterly for players to reference as well as for parents to be able to share thoughts and ask questions. Using the link below, players will be able to see their grades. Each player will receive a member number for identification, and their grade will be displayed by their number rather than their name. The identification number is used as a method to ensure the environment allows for privacy, and does not create opportunities for judgement or fear of exposure amongst peers.
